Rebellious Sleep

Napping is by far my current favorite activity...

When I was a kid, I saw napping as a waste of time. I had other better things to do: play G.I. Joes, play in the dirt, play baseball/basketball/football (not soccer), or watch TV...there were a myriad of options. Now, life is seen as waste of time, and the nap is where it is at. I'm not necessarily against this reversal, but when did it happen? When I turned 14 did I bonk my head and realize napping is about the sweetest thing ever? Is that an option on your driver's license along with organ donation?

I prefer napping to actual nightly sleep. I think this is because napping is kind of a rebellious sleep. You have other things to do, that you could be doing...but no...i'm going to sleep. I could go to the bank...it's open during the day....pshaaa...sleep. I could go to work and make money....pshaa...sleep. I could go to class....well....no one has every seriously thought of picking class over napping....but.....pshaa anyways...sleep. The man is probably against napping. The man wants efficiency! The napper says...ah...Mr. Man....take your efficiency and leave me one...because my away message is up, and it says "napping, beatch" (cuz the man always uses IM, ya know). I bet Simon (the mean guy from American Idol) never takes naps...that's why he's such an ass. Jesus...definitely a napper. Ghandi...could sleep through a meeting with the prime minister of micronesia without a disturbance in his zzz's.

So...the man just sent me an IM about doing homework or something else productivo like that....and I, continuing a long tradition of rebellious sleepers will soon be sleeping away a few hours in restful defiance. "Napping Beatch".

You know - blogs don't work unless you write in them ;)

Sooo, the point of this whole blog thing is to write, and then when others read it, they comment or not comment. It's a kind of give and take relationship. My dearest Joshy, you my love, are not giving. I am sure you have tons of truly interesting things going through your head, how about writing them down for us all to read? Anyway.....
